Windows 11's latest update features Copilot, AI-driven Paint, and more

This Windows 11 update brings Copilot, a new AI-driven digital assistant, to the desktop, offering various controls and integration into different parts of the operating system. AI-powered improvements extend to Paint, with features akin to Photoshop, including transparency and layers, along with a new AI image generator called "Paint Cocreator." Snipping Tool now allows text extraction and redaction, enabling the copying of text from images and automatic redaction of sensitive information. The Photos app introduces a background blur option, automatically emphasizing the subject while blurring the background. Other enhancements include an improved Windows Backup app, support for passkeys for account sign-ins, a modernized File Explorer with a new UI, and native RGB lighting controls for PC gamers. Additionally, Windows 365 Cloud PCs integration, developer tools like Dev Home, and future updates are outlined, including a new volume mixer and native RAR and 7-zip support. To access this update, users can navigate to Settings > Windows Update or enable "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available." Otherwise, it may be included in the November monthly Patch Tuesday release.
